7 Great Ideas for Your Valentines Scrapbooks!

I thought I would try something different today and list some of the most intriguing books I could find on the market to help add something a little different and little more crafty for valentines day scrapbooking!

Romantic Scrapbooking for Valentines Day

So...we are edging closer and closer to that special day!

You know the one day of the year where it is perfectly acceptable to express your true love and devotion to the special someone(s) in your life (yes, even your children) and it can be done as elaborately as you wish!

Yep, you can plaster the word LOVE all over your Romantic Scrapbooking Pages - and cards. You can use all of those beautiful heart images and stamps that tend to sit around all year because there is normally not a "valid enough" reason to use them!

(At least that's what happens with my stuff).

Yes, I use flowers a lot. But hearts seem like overkill sometimes. So does the word love.

But don't we all WANT to express our "heartfelt" thoughts with LOVE titles and stamps! Just because they are so beautiful?

So what better time than Valentines day.

So...I have been writing in this blog for almost half a year now and I know that I get lots of visits to it and from it (to my website)...but what I don't know yet is who my readers are...

How to Scrapbook for Holidays

Here are todays top tips for getting your Holiday Scrapbooking started.

1. Write a list of all your favorite holiday events (or things)
2. Write down (journal) what you like most about them (Get our newsletter for free journaling tips)
   
3. Then, make sure your camera is fully loaded with film, memory and batteries
4. Start shooting photo's! (Check this article out for Photo Scrapbooking Tips). Even if they are not perfect, you can adjust and crop them later!
   
5. And finally...print your photo's and go back to your list and your journaling - and review what you said. Are there any significant statements that you made that could apply to your page? Did you create titles that you didn't know about? Did you create the perfect journaling that you didn't know about? Did you write about the holiday colors you didn't realize? (Could those colors be your background colors)?

Chances are pretty high that you already did most of the work for your self in the first three steps. If that's so, now you can start scrapbooking!

Even if you are doing beginner scrapbooking, or advanced scrapbooking - reverse engineering the process is going to be one of the easiest ways to get the project started!

Happy Chanukkah

Today marks the first day of Chanukka (the Jewish Holiday - commonly associated with Christmas - although vastly different). It is known as:

Chanukkah: The Feast of Lights (Feast of Dedication) is celebrated for eight days to commemorate the rededication of the Temple following the Jews' victory over occupying forces in 165 B.C.E., which re-established for a time their religious and political freedom. (Judaism)

If you are celebrating this Holiday yourself...I wish you the absolute best for these eight days out of the year (and those to follow). I also suspect that you will have a lot of wonderful photo's and memories to start Scrapbooking as the days go by.

You might want to check out Amazon.com for the biggest array of Chanukkah Scrapbook Supplies (hint: to find them all, type in word combinations such as "Chanukkah paper" or "chanukkah embellishment" or "chanukkah sticker" etc). (Try without the C as well - since many people are spelling it incorrectly).
